Herbal Oil
In 2017, I infused an oil similar to this (with lavender blossoms) for the purpose of making a batch of belly butter. It has also been very useful for salves, and most recently, I used it for a crowning/anointing oil for the moment of my youngest child's birth! Although he was born--crown to toe-- in one mighty wave, I did not tear nor did I have any abrasions, soreness or bruising! Such a welcome blessing.
I have never personally measured out each dried herb, since what I am able to forage varies by year. These are the basic components, and what you are able to receive is quite possibly exactly what you need!
Yarrow leaves
Comfrey leaves
Plantain leaves
Chickweed
Red Clover blossoms
Calendula flowers
Chicory
Mullein
Dandelion
olive oil
I like to air-dry all herbs, press them into a jar, pour a good-quality organic olive oil over them and then allow to infuse at room temperature for at least 3 months!
Mixing with melted beeswax makes a wonderful salve for healing minor skin issues like insect bites, scratches, baby bum rashes, and as a part of the Herbal Belly Butter for pregnancy, it is an especially nourishing blessing for stretching skin!
